Hi, my name is Hrafn Erebrandir Enginnson. I was born in Belgium in 1985 and am currently living in Sápmi, Sweden since 2020.
I tend to call myself a musician (taking on the roles of drummer, guitarist, song writer, pianist, ...); a writer of (short) stories, non-fiction, fairy tales, stage plays, film scripts and poetry; and a photographer.
As an artist, I try not to limit myself to just those three fields. As such, I also dabble in painting; tailoring; video- and audiography; land art; model design and architecture; and basically anything I can use to express myself.
For the most part, I'm an autodidact. What I lack in technical education, I try to make up for with passion and enthousiasm.
The artistic brain is known for its chaos.
Because I'm often busy on multiple projects at the same time, it's common that many works remain unfinished.
Inspiration-wise, I look at history; current (world) events; nature; life and death and mortality; the meaning of life; love; existentialism; loneliness; the call of the void; ...
The subjectiveness of beauty in all her aspects; chaos and order; Scandinavia (in general; but I also have an unhealthy obsession with Iceland); mythology (mainly Norse mythology); suicide and the desire for (a) death; veganism; activism; animal rights (humans are animals too); justice; magic; fantasy; science-fiction; space; morality; ... also tickle my artistic mind.
Through my creative works, the hopeless (r/R)omantic artist in me attempts to control and shape his tormented soul, his broken heart, his playful inner child, his dark and heavy thoughts, ...
